FounderThe opportunity to make a difference.
The concept of Kairin Clinic has been evolving since before I went to medical school. I was inspired to go to medical school while traveling around Southeast Asia when I was in my early 20s. After witnessing the extent of poverty and oppression that people in some other countries endure, I felt that it was my responsibility to utilize the incredible amount of opportunity afforded to Americans. I discovered that many women in other cultures aren’t allowed to obtain an education. I felt particularly charged to pursue a career that would challenge me intellectually, personally and emotionally – something that would allow me to utilize my education to make a difference in people’s lives.
The path to Kairin Clinic.
When I decided to go to medical school, no one in my family had a college degree and it was an uphill battle every step of the way. My parents divorced when I was 12 and after that my mom raised five girls by herself. We (five siblings, my mom, and my niece) all supported each other and are very close because of it.
I received my bachelor’s of science in Biology from the University of California Davis and went to medical school at Midwestern University in Arizona, graduating in 2008. I completed my residency at University of Nevada Reno in August 2011 and moved to Fallbrook to work in urgent care. After a short while, I decided to follow my dream and open my own practice, Kairin Clinic.
A focus on women.
I decided to go into Family Medicine because it allows me to see a variety of patients and there is always something different. Family Medicine also enables me to take a holistic approach to medicine and focus my practice on the areas of medicine that I really love – women’s health, aesthetics, nutrition and exercise.
Outside the office.
I am married to a wonderful man, Mick Fuller. We have a 16 month-old baby girl, Stella – she is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I love running and I am a Kaia girl. I love Kaia for all the same reasons everyone else who has ever tried it does – it’s a great workout, it’s fun, always different and provides a camaraderie among women that is hard to find anywhere else. I love spending time with my family and I love doing anything outdoors. I love my life and I am totally inspired by all my sisters and my mom – they are the coolest group of women ever J
